In case it isn't obvious, this is not the traditional "Yellow Submarine" album. There is no George Martin orchestra music on this selection. Instead, we are provided with 15 great Beatles songs, ranging from the "Rubber Soul" album thru the "Magical Mystery Tour" period, including the 4 'new' songs which were released only on the original "Yellow Submarine" album in 1968. Two of these are exceptional: "Hey Bulldog" and "It's All Too Much". Such a shame neither of these were available on any popular Beatles compilations. The remastering is incredible, and the vinyl is excellent. With 9 songs on Side 1, I was initially nervous the sound quality might lack dynamics, or that there would be some surface noise present. Not at all! Highly recommended.
