Product Description

Mustang Poron XRD Shim The thin and flexible XRD material creates a unique protective shield that absorbs up to 90% of force on impact. The Shim helps to fill the gap created behind the horse's shoulder and under the front of the saddle. Properly placed shims help level and enhance saddle fit. Two shims per package are included to allow for adjusting desired fit. Add an extra layer if needed or take away a layer if desired fit is met. Size: 24" x 5" x 3/16"

Used these to supplement football shoulder pads using some sports tape and velcro. Essentially, I doubled these up and cut/taped them together to form a breast/sternum and collarbone pad on the plastic liner between the factory pad and the plastic. I then velcro'ed them to the inside of the shoulder pad. These fit much better than traditional shock pads which can raise the shoulder pads too high. This supplemental pad is located where 90% of the shoulder strikes occur.
