WHERE TO PLANT While Daffodils are incredibly easy to grow, plenty of sunlight and well-drained soil are key to their happiness. If you notice puddles of water 5–6 hours after a hard rain, scout out another site or amend the soil with organic material to raise the level 2–3 inches. Daffodils fancy a spot where they will receive sun for all or most of the day. HOW TO PLANT Plant your Daffodil bulbs from September through December outdoors. Select a container , if using, with drainage holes and fill it with good quality, well-drained soil. Dig holes and tuck the bulbs into the soil with their pointed tops 3-6" below the soil surface facing upward. Place smaller bulbs more shallowly than larger ones, allowing 4-5 bulbs per square foot for outdoor planting and 6-8 for containers. Water thoroughly after planting, soaking the soil to settle it around the bulbs. HOW TO GROW Water as needed during active growth periods; about 1" of moisture per week is a good estimate. Leave the foliage in place at the end of the blooming season rather than cut it off. The leaves will gather sunlight to create food through photosynthesis, strengthening the bulbs for the future. Remove the foliage around late spring or early summer when it turns yellow and dies back as the plant slips into dormancy. Bulbs arrived in good shape. Won't know more until they bloom in Spring!These were not in very good shape they were already starting to grow if they do grow I will come back and change the rating but just for the looks of the bulbs they should have been have the price paid for them...Bulbs should have been kept chilled and not growingthese did not look great when they arrived but they bloomed so pretty I came back to give it the 5 stars so love these...I am so impressed with these bulbs. They are huge and have produced beautifully! Would buy again and can’t wait to see them spread through the years. The yellow ones in the photo were not the ones purchased just the pink doubles.These bulbs were HUGE! I am very happy with the purchase. Timely delivery and good packaging means I will order from the company again.At this low price I wasn't expecting such great quality every bulb large and in good healthThese bulbs are duds if you want to force them. I got several sets for myself and for my sisters in Nov. Hoping they'd be blooming with wonderful fragrance around Christmas. We all got nothing but leaves. Not a one flower. I had checked several websites, which say this variety forces well. I don't know if they'll bloom in ground. I'd give zero stars but Amazon is making me give at least 1 to submit this review.High quality bulbs! I planted these in Colorado in mid-September and they are already half way up--a big surprise! I didn't expect to see them until next spring. Am hoping they will bloom this fall and then again next spring. Fingers crossed :)Like the quality of the bulb, very large. Can't wait to see them blooming
